Two engineers working together at a monitor in a bright open-plan office.

Technology-enabled execution

Build the capability the business needs.

A reporting workflow, a platform integration, or a new software capability. We help define the requirement, make the architecture decisions, and lead implementation with the client team.

When we help

Start with the job the technology must do.

01

Choosing what to build or buy

Compare options against the business requirement, existing systems, implementation effort, and ongoing costs.

02

Connecting systems and information

Define data flows and integrations that support reporting, customer service, or internal operations.

03

Putting automation to work

Assess a specific workflow, including where AI may help, and define testing and human oversight before implementation.

The work

Plan for delivery and for the people who inherit it.

We connect technical decisions to the business process they support.

Where AI is proposed, the use case, the testing, and the human oversight are agreed before anything is built.

Deliverables

Depending on the scope, you receive:

Licences, hosting, and external developers are identified separately. The company pays its own providers.

  • 01

    A requirements brief

Acceptance criteria and business ownership agreed before build starts.

  • 02

    An architecture assessment

A build-or-buy comparison, with the reasoning shown.

  • 03

    A platform shortlist

    Options with an implementation-cost model.

  • 04

    A working capability

An integration or software capability with documented testing.

  • 05

    Operating instructions

How it runs, who looks after it, and its known limitations.

  • 06

    A handover plan

Agreed responsibilities for the team that inherits the system.

The company remains responsible for paying its providers.

VPI’s upfront contribution is its own executive time. Third-party costs are identified separately in the scope.

How it runs

From requirement to handover.

Each stage has an agreed output, so the company can see what it is getting before the next one starts.

  1. 01

    Define the job

Write down what the technology must do, who owns it, and how success is judged.

  2. 02

    Choose the route

Compare building, buying, and connecting what exists, with the costs and risks.

  3. 03

    Build and test

Implement in stages, test against the acceptance criteria, and record what is found.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Document the system, train the team, and agree who looks after it.

Next phase

Make sure the operating process is ready too.

A new system needs clear ownership, usable information, and a team prepared to run it.

Common questions

Before you start.

Do you build the software yourselves?

The scope sets out who builds what. We lead the implementation and may build parts of it. External developers and licences, where needed, are the company’s cost.

Where does AI fit?

Where a specific workflow benefits from it. We define the use case, the testing, and the human oversight first, then decide whether AI is the right tool.

What happens when the engagement ends?

The team receives the system, the operating documentation, and an agreed owner. The aim is that nobody depends on us to keep it running.

The next conversation

What does your company need to do next?

Tell us where the business stands, the decision ahead, and what is getting in the way. We can explore the scope of work from there.
